Nel cuore delle Marche, vicino alle antiche rovine della romana Urbs Salvia, sorge l'antico Comune di Colmurano. Del medioevo conserva l'assetto urbanistico, con le sue mura, i suoi bastioni, il suo torrione poligonale a difesa della porta San Rocco. Colmurano è attualmente un piccolo centro di notevole interesse paesaggistico e culturale ove l'operosità degli antichi mezzadri si è trasformata in spirito imprenditoriale e ha dato origine a fiorenti imprese agricole e vinicole. It retains the medieval town-planning arrangement, in its walls, bastions and polygonal tower in defence of San Roccos's door. At present Colmurano is a small centre notable both for natural and cultural interests. The laboriousness of the ancient sharecroppers has transformed in entrepreneurial spirit and has originated flourishing farms and wine industries. |
